Im in the market for a pair of lightweight waterproof shoes for early season archery mule deer hunting. What do you guys recommend? Thanks!

So I am not a boot guy never have never will many guys may say I am an idiot but I don't really care what they think lol. I have a pair of crispi boots a pair of kenetrek boots and a pair of salomon boots and shoes now for all of my early season elk mule deer and waterfowl I use the salomon speed cross shoes with the goretex they are awesome super light weight and very, very comfortable. I love them cause of how quiet they are and how light weight they are and they breath. If I need to pack out an animal I usually go to my salomon Quest 4 D boots super light and damn comfy I love them out of all of my boots. I would really look into either one and the price point on them are really well for boots and shoes. Let me know if you have any questions on them or anything else I put a link in so you can see them. I really hope this helps you.

+1 for Salomon Speedcross GTX trail shoes

Anyone know anything about the Sense Ride GTX? They look pretty nice also.

I am interested in the inov-8 hiking shoes because I like the idea of having a high top type shoe/boot. I have a pair of their work out shoes and they are unbelievably comfortable and extremely durable, have had them for nearly 4 years

Those look cool. I’ve wanted to try a few different offerings from inov8 but they NEVER seem to have anything above a size 7 in stock.

I’m actually considering these crazy looking Salomon shoes. They have a built in Gaiter. I find that when hunting in shoes vs boots gaiters quickly become mandatory. Otherwise you are constantly digging debris out of your shoes. But, in early season, gaiters can get super hot. Thinking these might cut down on the weight/heat from my full size Sitka gaiters...
