Hey Roksliders,
I'm bummed to announce this one, but our own Long Range Editor, Sam Millard, is stepping down from his position at Rokslide.

As Editor at Rokslide, I get to read everything that we post and I can tell you that Sam is one of the best technical gun writers out there- clear, concise, and informative articles were his norm. Gonna miss his perspective on guns and long-range hunting.

A big thanks to Sam from the staff at Rokslide and I'm sure he'd love to hear from some of you.

Watch for Sam in parts unknown across the web, shooting, sharing, and teaching.

Thanks Sam

So is he done just writing articles or is he done posting on the forum as well? I always liked his articles but hope he hangs around the forum.

Well that sucks. Enjoyed his articles too even tho not a long range hunter. His insights could be applied to other games like bench rest shooting/ prairie dog shooting. Hope he still chimes in and keeps in touch. Good luck

Bummer for sure. Sam has been an incredible resource for me. As much in answering questions I have tossed him and in what he contributed here on the forums. I hope he still visits the forums, too.

I have not been a member very long but Sam had commented on a couple of my posts with good advice and input. I wish Sam the best wherever and whatever he endeavors.

Thanks, Robby.

I didn't die, guys:cool: I resigned from LRO as well, so I'll probably have MORE time to post on here in the future. Might even spice it up some! I have a bunch of videos and written content to get caught up on, then I'm going to start rolling my own on a lathe I bought in September. Looking forward to a lot of shooting in 2016!

Thanks Sam for your contributions to the form. You only doing stuff for yourself on the lathe? Just wondering since you are local.

At this time, yes. I need to get good enough to meet my own standards first, before I start cutting on other people's stuff!

Nice looks good.. Everything really seams pretty easy just a matter of having the right tools, being detail orientated and experience doing it.
