Not looking to spend a fortune but also don’t want a pile of junk. Be nice to have one that filters animals so I don’t get a ton of non target game. What’s a good value cell camera?

The best value I have found is Tactacam. I haven't found a better price data plan than them. Other camera's might have better pricing but cost twice as much for the monthly data plan. I've been running their gen 1 camera since it came out and haven't had an issue (knock on wood), except for bears destroying them.

I'm partial to Spypoints. They get some hate from time to time online but I haven't had any issues with mine and will keep buying them.

100 pics/month for free, $5/mo for 250 up to $15/mo unlimited.

I pretty much run the free plan on all of them until Sept/Oct when activity really picks up and only pay for cams that have a lot of activity. Cancel them and go back to free in December.

They seem to have sales often enough so you don't need to pay MSRP if you're patient

Tactacam at Walmart is 79.00. Hard to beat that, they also work fine when not sending pics in the cellular capacity.

Had several spypoints, junk in my opinion. Sure, the first 100 pic are free, cams will take 100 free pics in a day and a half of nothing. Then when you pay for the subscription, the same camera in the same location will not take any pics.

Agree with above. I have a newer Spypoint flex G-36 that hasn't given me the issues the older cameras had. The 100/mo free is cool until turkeys eat them up in a few days strutting. Also doesn't filter so you will get the random squirrel photos.

Picked up Moultrie Edge 2 for $50/camera from either Tractor Supply or Seek One. However, they are like $9/mo and they will only run while you are paying the monthly service. Internal SD card so if you have app issues you just wont get the intel. I only ran them for 1 month and the app was hit/miss but apparently has been updated...?

So I think Tactacam is best deal and well reviewed. About to get some myself. Some walmarts have the 2.0 2 packs in store for $100. Think I am getting the new 3.0 Pro for the no glo and best deal I've seen so far is on ebay. They have optional SD card to have a backup and can run them at $5/mo for 250 photos which is probably my sweet spot.
