As the title says, I’m going long guys. Recently purchased a Ruger American chambered in 300 blackout. Has a 16 inch barrel and I plan on only shooting subs in it. Will be suppressed at all times. As you can probably tell by now, 200 yards is going to be about my max range on this bad boy.

My question is, what scope? A LPVO or something bigger that I can dial? This is my first bolt 300BLK so I wanted to see what other guys were liking on these guns.

I’m not loyal to any specific brand and definitely not taking this on a OIL sheep hunt with a vortex diamond back. So I’d like to keep it in the $400 dollar range.

I shoot my 357 mag rifle at 200. 1900-2000 fps tho. Have a 4x on there and aim at the top of an 8 inch plate it doesnt miss. Thinking to put a 3-9 bdc scope on there to shoot for groups.

Any idea on the bullet drop? 12-16 inches?

I’m leaning the 4x route. At 1000fps range with a 100 yard zero, there is a a 35 inch drop out to 200 yards. Would be shooting 225 grain bullets but thinking about using 212 eldxs too.
