(Adjusts Tin Foil Hat).... I have zero proof but you will never convince me they dont use/sell your data for hunting spots.... Im sure all Apps do......

I don't have proof but I do know that the hunting public crew showed up to not one but TWO of my spots within 50 yards and those spots were a thousand miles from where they live in the Midwest. What are the odds in that happening?

Just as 1 example, they shot that buck in GA a few years back within 30 yards of my treestand on public ground.
Good for them that they killed a good buck, but what are the odds in them shooting a deer a second time within 50 yards of my marked locations? 2 years later, they did it again in a different state.....

Once would almost be like getting hit by lightning.....twice, would be an uncalculatable statistical improbability.

Its also ironic that both of those deer were killed on OTC tags, not draw tags....

I didn't mind paying for the service with the chance of winning one of the monthly giveaways but with that being gone and a price increase.. won't be renewing again this year

Ya that's a pretty far stretch to call it luck...

If you saw where these spots were at, it would really make you raise your eyebrows.....NOT somewhere you would end up at accidentally. It took years of boot leather to find those spots and they are the ONLY people I have ever seen in there.

Is what it is.

I don’t know who the hunting public are or their association with Go Hunt, but your scenario sounds like it has to be more than a coincidence.

I also don’t use Go Hunt, but did you mark your waypoints with something like “Possible state record buck!”, and a bunch of notes? Wondering how someone with access to everyone’s waypoints at someplace like Go Hunt or OnX would choose your waypoints over all the other waypoints that other users have on the server.

Only a 20 dollar increase from what is previously was. Still easiest to use platform out there imo.
Do you know if its possible to cancel then renew with one of their occasional promotions ($50 to the gear shop etc) or is that one time only for new customers?

The THP crew seems like an absolute class act. I have never heard them say or seen them do anything to suggest they aren't doing everything the right way. They spend a ton of time afield and e-scouting. It's not a huge stretch to think that whatever feature drew you to the area also drew them there. Also, is it really a "secret" spot if you left your treestand there? Most hunters see that and think to themselves "guess this must be a decent spot...".

I don't think it's fair to be putting their name out there like that with nothing but conjecture that they somehow got YOUR pin directly from OnX? Cmon man... Those guys have been crushing it for years; they don't need your help. They don't need anyone's help....

I am not 100% sure on that. As listed above, I would probably just email them and ask them for the $50 promo for your renewal. I would assume they would probably give it to you. Their customer service is always been awesome to work with my experience

I am not saying that I am willingly giving then any help.
