I purchased a GoHunt membership a couple of years ago. Literally never used it. They auto-renew by default. I realized they renewed me on March 18 for $150, and I called them a couple of days later to see if they could cancel the exchange, since I hadn't even logged into their website for more than a year. They would not refund my membership, but did give me back $75.

GOOD? Okay, my bad. They say on their website that membership fees are non-refundable. So a partial refund goes beyond what they promised. Maybe their basic membership offers some valuable information that could be completely downloaded before canceling. Not sure, as I never used them. And I asked to cancel the membership less than a week after it renewed.

BAD? So many things you can't do online that are the bare minimum these days for folks I want to do business with. You can't log in and cancel auto-renew. You can't cancel your account. You can't delete your credit card, even though if you have an account it's already been charged. You can only add more services or update to another VALID card. To do any of this you have to send them an email request. "To cancel a membership, email us at [email protected]"

GOOD? They did cancel my auto-renew after a couple of emails back and forth.
