GoHunt Acquired

Was the stone glacier acquisition a PE deal, or another deal entirely?
It was acquired by Vista Outdoor, which was a public company. Stone Glacier was part of that big company for a few years.

Vista sold off Federal Premium to the Czechoslovak Group and the remaining companies became Revelyst. The VSTO board wanted to get rid of the firearm segment, and sold off the largest US ammo manufacturer to a foreign investor.

Within a few months, Revelyst underwent some private equity acquisition. The breakup and sell-off of Federal and the remaining outdoor segment happened pretty fast once congress approved the sale of the ammo manufacturer to CSG.

Brandt has been at it for decades, they're not going anywhere. They do our e-tagging and licensing, not our draw. No 1st hand experience with e-tagging but see guys complaining about it every year.
As for Sartini, never met him but he built something from nothing, hopefully he made FU money to add to the FU money he already had.

I understand why these companies sell, but the ruin that many Private Equity groups bring to brands is truly a shame. Increasing shareholder value trumps all and they do anything they can to suck $ out of every part of the business. It's one thing for this to happen to a clothing brand, but it hurts a little more when there's more of a community behind it all. I wish all those at GoHunt the best!
