Intended use here is the key consideration.
Tricked out guns are fun on the range...but not as functional in the field.
A Glock defensive handgun just plain works- stock. Add the MOS and barrel and now slide timing and bullet feeding can become an issue with it not being reliable.
Will the MOS work every time, will junk or moisture collect on the optic while plowing through the woods? Will it draw cleanly...or be so big you are constantly bumping it? Of course anyone that has tricked their out is going to sing its praises.
Back when I hog hunted behind dogs logging many hundreds of miles with a defensive handgun in the woods; So much junk collected in my holster I went to a full flap for my large caliber revolver.
Lots of factors but the main one is how it will be used. Personally I think a guy is better off spending the money on ammo and learning how to shoot it.
