Giving Thanks!

Nothing wrong with acknowledging God in the process.

Ya gotta wonder at the showmanship of some - you get credit from God if you pray in your closet and from man if you pray on the street corner. Gotta pick one.

I'm not for trying to feed an animal it's last meal after it's dead and stuff like that. But some like it.

I do, since He is creator God, He's sovereign over all so I acknowledge that truth in any harvest of an animal He allows me to take. If I don't fill my tag, I know I have a rancher connection I can go to for my meat to feed my wife and I and even that meat comes from His hand of provision so I'm thankful for it also.

I'm not saying there is. Just asking a general question. I see alot of hunting videos where its all about the equipment and the horns.

"goddy" as in they talk about god more then the hunting, if i wanted to be preached about how great god is id go to church, not a youtube hunting channel. Not getting into the god is there or not conversation, but it sure helps that they fly out to hard to reach places to shoot big animals. Would be nice to see how much "help from the heavens" they get if they hunted off the road system.

to the op, when we kill something i say thanks to the animal.

Ah, I understand. I like their style, but I can see your point. I only suggested them because the OP asked for hunters that “give thanks to the Lord.”

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not even sure what you mean by "gross."
The grift of using their tax free "mission" to fund the exotic hunts they want to do.

They're not "spreading the gospel", they're fleecing those who already believe to fund their lifestyle. Joel Osteen in camo.

I don’t have access to their tax returns or financials, so can’t comment on that. Also don’t care to argue about it, as it’s not my job to judge it either way.

It has always struck me as odd when hunters thank the animal. Given the choice (to whatever extent animals are consciously aware), I tend to think the animal would rather be alive and did not willingly give you anything. Maybe it makes sense if you don't believe in a creator god but still have the impulse to be grateful to something, and the closest thing to you is the animal itself. If that floats your boat, go for it, nevermind me.

That doesn't mean that I don't appreciate the animal for what it is.

For my part, I am grateful to my heavenly Father for each successful hunt and the health and fitness that I enjoy , the animal, and the landscapes that make it possible.
