Gimbal or ibis freehand

Those of you filming hunts... Are you always trying to use a camera with ibis so you can free and or carry on mono/tripod or are you using a gimbal regardless of ibis/ois in the camera/lens?

My cameras have IBS and I freehand it often, while also using a tripod. If I'm using a gimbal it's for b-roll footage or shooting that doesn't require me to pack a gimbal somewhere.
