What's a good way to get scent off and clean a backpack? My wife spilled fabric softener on my pack and no it smells like flowers! Will scent free detergent work or do I need to get something that netulerize thr odor? Maybe baking soda?

Thanks

I hand wash mine in the bath tub. In your case I would rinse it very well then wash it. Then hang it to dry. Once your sure it's dry check to see if the smell is gone. Then pour an entire beer into her favorite purse on accident.

I would give it a good wash - hang out until completely dry - go to your local store and buy a couple bottles of spice cloves, sprinkle the cloves inside and outside the pack and put pack in a tied air tight garbage bag for about a week. Take pack out, shake off the cloves and go packing. Cloves are the best most economical natural absorbers of smell that I know of.

Mirazyme Odor Eliminator by McNett is for smells and mildew on tents and packs.
It worked well on a musty pack I bought used that must have been stored in a leaky attic. I learned a lesson on that deal but the Mirazyme saved the deal for me.
