Got this rifle not long ago.
It is a Christensen Mesa 24" barrel in 6.5 PRC.
Gathered up components.
Right now I have 300 147 ELDm, VV565, Hornaday Brass, I also have CCI 200, Also have Rem 9-1/2 Mag primers.

The question I had was when doing some reading on the 6.5PCR here and on other websites I found a few people on another site saying that the 147s come apart when being used.
None said in what way they are meaning and what point or time they are "vaporizing" to put it in their words.

I am not totally committed to the 147 ELDm but I have a pile of them and know a lot of guys here like them also.

Has anyone here ever heard anything as far as issues like this? Was the first time hearing some about it.

I’ve got a 1:7.5 twist barrel and am currently shooting a Berger 156 at 2926. Been throwing around the idea of trying the 147eldm after podcasts with Form on the Exo mountain gear and shoot2hunt. I figured I could easily get over 2900 with the eldm. Emailed Hornady about bullet rpm and they gave out a formula and a range not to exceed 280,000-300,000 rpm. Has anyone seen these come apart around 280,000 because I could see myself easily getting 2950fps.
