I’m getting giddy to get out on the opener on Saturday and I’m not even packing a rifle! It’s been hot and dry for a few weeks. A good storm system is supposed to move in and bring some snow with it. 2 of my daughters drew a controlled hunt that is in my favorite area to hunt. I have as much fun guiding kids as I do hunting any more.

Same here! Im taking the wife and my two teenage nephews on what will be their first elk hunts. They all drew a “not so good” controlled hunt tag this year. I only like it because it’s either sex. Way to much to do before we leave Monday for my wife’s hunt! Wish my daughters birthday wasn’t October 11th. Ughhh

I know about the time, or lack of! I’ve got all the time in the world to use, but my middle daughter is a first year electrician apprentice so she can only hunt weekends. My youngest daughter is so wrapped up in sports that she is the same way.
I’ve packed and unpacked my hunting pack about a hundred times!
My oldest daughters birthday is October 15th and my wedding anniversary is October 26th, I should have paid a lot more attention to details!

I've got 3 daughters and can't wait to get them out there

Have two and they came with me from diaper stage, so much fun. They each have a deer under their belts and nothing, but nothing is better than helping your daughters get their first deer.
