Getting center cap off Leica Ultravid?

Trying to get the center cap of these ultravids to put on an Outdoorsmans stud. Called Outdoorsmans and they said it should unscrew, doesn’t seem like it unscrews. Ive tried to pop it off with decent amount of pressure. Nothing in manual shows how to remove it. Any suggestions? Don’t want to damage the cap.

Call Leica. As I recall most of their optics don't have threads for a stud. Not sure about newer leicas.

You’re correct. This is a cap that goes over.

It comes off! It’s basically a glued on cap! Take a thin blade knife and work it around the radius. Thin take a thin flathead screwdriver and pry slowly around. It will pop off! If you go slow, the plastic cap won’t be damaged! I’ve done a couple Ultravids with the stud you using

Great. Thanks man. Been little hesitant to push on it too much. Will give this a try.
