Looking to go on a guided elk hunt in Montana during the general season, late October-early November. This will be a pack in style hunt for about a week. Still working out the details with a few different outfitters. Looking at units 415 and 332. What kind of clothing should I be looking at? Wool, new synthetics? Never been on a hunt like this. Goretex leather boots, pac style boots with rubber bottoms?

Following....have a hunt booked same time frame next year although will have a home base cabin to work out of...

Last year it was close to -15 the first couple of days. If you're not walking/hiking much, and glassing a lot, wool would be my recommendation. If you're hiking and then glassing, I'd bring some breathable layers and a large puffy layer to put on once you get to where you're going.
