Gen 6 Glock

I still think a slide cut to fit and exact optic is going to be the most robust mounting solution.

Of the currently available options I would mostly agree.

I do think the A-Cut was/is a step in the right direction. All a company would have to do to make an optic compatible is get within like a tenth of an inch of the length of the COA, and machine a lip at the front and back to be able to lock it in to the front and rear groves. No guessing at screw length with different brands of optics, guns, and adapter plates. No engineering two screw holes into the base of your optic and then having to figure out how to put the electronics and battery in there as well. No relying on Chinese screws to handle the sheer forces of recoil or impact.

The optic mounting systems out there just seem all over the place. Hoping that standardizes soon.

They are the Coca Cola of the gun industry and people want them to switch to New Coke. They will never start from a blank piece of paper while gun buyers are still buying their product over most competing products.
I wonder what their numbers actually look like compared to the competition. For concealed carry they've definitely been losing market share for years with no signs of it slowing down. But I imagine for duty use in law enforcement contracts they still do extremely well.

I would bet money that the first Gen 6 models (G17, G19, and G45) are their biggest sellers. Furthermore, I think new G6 models will come out (roughly) in order of current sales volume.

The G43 and G43X (I have both) probably lose sales due to their limited capacity for their size. But, I don't think they are commercial flops either. With concealed carry guns, I think it is hard to dominate the market because there is a constant issue of fit, weight, capacity that genuinely differs from person to person.

Heck, I carry my Ruger LCP the most because it is easy to pocket carry. I literally hate the LCP, but haven't found a better option for that role.

I'm sure Glock guys will eat this crap up like clam chowder, I've just never understood the appeal of the brand myself. Why buy a gun that is worse in almost every single way than modern competitors, but still pay MORE for it?
