Is this sight no longer a good place to buy and sale? I haven't been on here in the last several months but sure seems like something has changed. I have bought and sold a lot of gear in the past, but have only received a few comments on some really nice gear I have posted, use to getting bombarded with replies. Feel free to chime in if you have a comment.

Thanks
Marcus

This is an incredible place for gear. So many awesome guys who are passionate about the outdooors. That being said gear junkies often times are looking for deals or you can just wait for the right person. I prefer rokslide for the community and have learned so much from here the classifieds are a bonus. I haven’t found anything close to the quality of rockslide for learning and buying/selling gear. If you want to sell something specific like Sitka there are Facebook groups strictly for clothing or optics etc but I still prefer Rokslide for sure. eBay can also create a quick sale as the pool is larger but their fees are pretty steep.

I don't know about anyone else, but I expect most of my hunting budget is going into my gas tank this year.

I saw your posting for the 240 hoody. I would be interested if in verde or a solid color. Give it a few days.

It is still a good place to sell things but I will agree its been harder to move items recently. I think its a combination of a lot of things, which have slowed down unnecessary purchases. If you want to move it, you have to price it to move.

Also, the the majority of the items you have posted for sale recently have been up for less than 3 hours...

Yup... Things are going to tighten up. Plan accordingly with your purchases or lack there of rather.

Exactly! It's not a 4 hour auction!! Bad time of year (off season), lots of good sales on new stuff, 4-5 dollar fuel, and the list goes on and on.

Not many people are pumped about dropping coin on gear that they wont use for another 6 months unless it is a smoking deal. I'm going to upgrade my sleeping bag significantly this year but I'm not buying a $600 bag in the summer. Not where my heart is right now. Dumping money into my boat instead.

Free checks from uncle sugar, advance child tax credits, and rent and student loan moratoriums can't go on forever bro. Like it or not, the poors are going back to being poors.

I think if you want to sell certain hunting gear way before hunting season you need to really put the pencil to the price that you ask. The inflation is also bad but that should make used gear worth more eventually....bump the ads once a week and see what transpires.....plus you could ask for interest in trades for stuff that you want.

Fuel prices are not going down I am sad to say....

It seems like good deals are fewer and farther in between vs. paying full retail with the benefit of original purchaser warranty.

Amen! Savvy shoppers are buying great used gear for half price and better.

I agree! However, I have asked for honest opinions on my pricing and no response. I haven't been on here in a while and I know markets have probably changed a little. Not long ago members would try to help other members by advising whether a price was high or low. I know in the long run it doesn't matter much, as I can choose what I do with my gear. It was an honest question I asked and I appreciate the helpful responses. Thanks everyone.

I’m not 100% on what your selling in all. But sometimes it is just not what people want anymore. Especially with clothing. Some people are so dedicated to matching, or sticking with a certain or newest pattern. Also sizing. I’ve seen plenty of items go up I would buy in a heartbeat. But I’ve yet to be able to fit my XL into a Medium.

Give it some time man. It hasn't been twenty four hours since you started posting things again. If you need to get rid of everything that fast, cut the price in half and watch it go.

Give it a couple months and let people see what they have drawn.

I posted above the classifieds are all
about timing. End of summer into fall clothes and optics really move on here. Or find the right person on the right day.

I have bought and sold a good bit on here. For me it's a place to look for some gear that I can get a fair deal on or is no longer sold. I enjoy trying different gear and if you buy used at a reasonable price you can usually pass it along on here if it doest fit or work for you.

For me it's more about the fun of making a deal and meeting fellow gear junkies with same interests. The people on here are what keeps me browsing the adds daily. Do we all need more gear? Likely not. But for some reason it's addicting.

I'd like to know a better sight (sic) if anybody knows of one...
