im guessing an approx. weight of 35 lbs for five days or so but have never weighed it. plenty light enough for me but will have a bt2, bikini 4800 highcamp or a exo 5500 in asat before next sept.
possibly forgot a thing or two

I am running a KU 3700 with a grab it on the outside. I use three mega pullouts from Kifaru to hold my super woobie, snugpak 40* bag and bivy and clothes (level 1/2 top and bottoms, t-shirt, socks and fleece vest with beanie and glove liners). There is my OR bivy, pocket rocket with mug and fuel, FL puffy, hygiene kit, possibles kit and bow with six arrows. The pack is about 22lbs without chow and water, which will obviously vary depending on how long I am out. Generally I can stay under 30lbs.

Most of this is a new setup for me this year, I was at 55lbs leaving on a 7 day trip last year with full food and water. My goal is to be under 40 this year. Not all of that is coming from gear, I packed way too much food last year...which has been kind of a learning curve.

Stone Glacier 7400 Sky Pack and rolltop bag (more than I need, but extra weight is minimal)
Zpacks 20 Degree Bag & cuben fiber stuff sack
Thermarest NEOlite pad
MLD eVENT Soul Bivy
MLD DuoMid Cuben Fiber Tipi (only for longer hunts or a spike camp)
Treking pole to pitch the tipi (don't know which one yet)
Swarovski 8x32 EL Binos
KUIU Bino Harness
Leupold 1000i Range Finder
Jetboil Sol Ti (I remove the stand)
Sea To Summit fork and spoon
Vapur Filter Bottle
Sawyer 1L Gravity Filter (still might swap out for a lighter version)
Playtapus 2L bladder (this is the old slide top version made for Dakine, might swap out for a new one)
Garmin 550t GPS & 4 spare AA batteries
Spot Locator
Princetontec Headlamp (don't know the model, had it for 9 years, weighs under 3 ounces, and is hella bright)
Havalon Piranta & 4 extra blades held together with a rubberband
Leatherman Wave
Individual Allen Keys needed for bow repair, held together with rubberband
KUIU Layers dependent on weather.
KUIU Chugach Rain Gear
SmartWool merino bottoms and socks
Rokslide Kill kit, that I will probably reduce to the BOMB game bags, 50' of paracord, and like 100' of tape.
Canon EOS M and wireless Remote
Home made First Aid Kit & essentials kit
Firesteel
A few cuben fiber dry sacks for extra clothes, food, etc

That is about it.....I think

Nice stuff guys. I have been messing around with my hill people gear tarahumera, kit bag, and stuff sack. I am making a quick over night maybe two night set up. What I am thinking of is; sleeping bag, pad, plastic sheet for ground cloth, tarp, small pot that a Gatorade bottle will fit in, esbit stove, food, coffee, water purification tabs, hygiene stuff, game bags, paracord, two knives, long Jon's, rain jacket, warm hat, and warm gloves, gps, extra socks, three lights, three ways to make fire, spork, bug repellant, and binos.

If scouting I would dump the kill kit, if fishing I would add that stuff.

Seems like I am forgetting stuff. But I have a sleep system, comfort system, food system, water system, and a game care system. This would be used in nice weather and within reasonable distance from a vehicle.

Just my 2 cents, but if ultralight is the goal and especially if you are within reasonable distance from a vehicle 3 lights and 3 ways to make a fire are probably overkill. I'm guilty of sometimes carring a lighter and firesteel, because the lighter can be useful for other tasks. I've never needed more than the one headlamp though.

Do most of you use mountain house meals? I noticed that the empty container was still taking up a lot of space and leaving unneeded weight. What I do is empty out the original packets and place them into Ziploc bags. I still keep one of the original packets so I can "cook" up the meals. I just takes a little water to clean it out.

If you use freezer bags they can handle the heat of boiling water

I buy the big cans and then ration them myself in a foodsaver. My buddy sewed up some reflective material from a smoker I believe, to place the bags in, works great

This is an attachment to my 2013 gear list.

I think there were some gloves in my jacket pocket that weren't added in the weight, but otherwise I think that's most everything.
If you open the attachment you can change the weight calc to pounds from grams.
