Hey guys, I'm not the most tech savvy. Got an Instinct for Christmas and there aren't really any good tutorials out there. Got the dog tracking widget, I got it paired with my Alpha 10. Dogs show up, tracks them. This was at house. I turned alpha 10 off. The widget toggles between connected and searching.

Wasn't sure if this was right but I can't find any instructions on how to turn it off? Does this then constantly search for the collars and drain the battery? Don't worry about it? I disconnected the alpha 10 but then it toggles between disconnected and searching.

Do I just remove the alpha 10 and re add every time I go hunting?

I never unpair mine. I don't think it is draining my battery. I get a couple of weeks between charges when I'm not hunting. I charge it every night with the collars when I hunt. Not sure if I really need to or not.

I think when you exit the widget on the watch it stops. Never did anything special for mine and didn't notice it drain the battery.

Not to change the subject here, but how about the on point indicator on the watch. When it alerts there is a 10 second window where I can't see dog direction on the watch, it only says dog on point over the entire screen. Kind of annoying.

I just switch my watch back to the face that tells time and don't worry about it. I don't keep track but probably charge my watch about every two weeks.

The watch reading on point for a short period is annoying. I normally just start walking towards where I last saw the dog until the watch returns to the direction arrow.

If only one dog is down, I hit the select button on the widget to give me the larger display of the single dog.
