Game taken with the ELD-X

I killed a Coues deer buck last season at ~470 yards with the 178gr ELD-X out of my LR308. Factory Precision Hunter load, muzzle velocity 2508 fps. He staggered around for a few steps and fell. Bullet sized entry hole, 1.5 inch or so exit.

Well, gonna revive the ELD-X thread with my 2018 Idaho mule deer hunt. I took a smallish 3xspike at a ranged 410 yards with my 7 mm Rem Mag loaded with 162s ~3000 FPS..shot was slightly back and high. One inch entrance and 1.5 inch exit with massive damage to rearmost part of lungs and broken spine. Shot was extreme uphill. We had a dead deer on the spot. Didn’t get any photos but at this point I’m sold on ELD-X.
