"G9 Defense exists to build the most effective and reliable tools to ensure you can defend, protect, and provide for yourself and others when it matters most. They were founded out of a necessity to bring ammunition and projectile design into the 21st century. With a vision to lift the capability of projectiles past historical expectations, G9 has developed over 51 unique and novel patented shapes in projectile design. In the past two decades, the firearm, defense, and hunting industries have seen massive advancements in technology and capability, while the most critical component remains based on 19th-century technology. With the use of machined brass and copper projectiles, G9 can build into projectile properties far more consistent, precise, and devasting than traditional bullets.
In handguns, G9 Defense makes two primary designs; an External Hollow Point designed to make the most effective wound cavity without overpenetration for daily carry, and their woodsman line is specialized for wilderness defense when deep penetration and large wound cavity are the goals. (Their 10mm Woodsman is the ammo you want with you when chasing elk in bear country.) They have been increasing production capacity at an epic pace over the past few years, and their ammo is now widely available on their website and at local retailers.
Although G9 currently produces mostly defensive pistol ammo, hunting is at the core of company culture. Expect to see equally revolutionary rifle ammo for both hunting and match ammo will be coming to the market soon.
