I just picked one up 3 weeks ago, put a Tract 22 Fire 4x12x40 BDC on it. Just like yours the gun will shoot, consistently under an inch at 100 yards with Horandy 33 grain Vmax. Rings steel at 200 yards all day long using the BDC reticle.

I used to have 3 savage 93’s in 17hmr for rats/jacks, but gave them all to my brother in law and got a CZ, they are sweet shooters

My only problem is that I figured it was a good place to have one nice blued/wood gun but now I’m wanting to drop it into a krg bravo

i picked up a left handed 457 in 22LR for my pops to practice with instead of taking the 6.5x55 to the 25 yard range (?!?!). a very nice rifle. looks very nice. shoots very nice. too fancy for a heathen like me so i'm happy with my plastic T1x. i'll bet that 457 22 WMR is fun tho!

i too have a savage 93 bull barrel 17 HMR. now that 17 hmr isn't inexpensive and i'm not shooting any critters, it just stays in a safe. it's a great gun for what it is. but the wood looks like plastic and while i don't dislike the accutrigger, it's no CZ or Tikka....and 22LR is 1/4 the cost.
