I will be hunting in southern Colorado this September,my base camp will be at 11,500'. Would propane function properly, out of a 25 lb cylinder, even if its in the low 30's at night?

The tank probably wouldn't be affected by the altitude. The low temps might affect the ability of the propane to turn from liquid to gas though. Sticking some of those air activated heating pads designed for your back to the tank first thing when you wake up, and then putting an insulated sleeve around it, might solve the temperature problem for you.

Propane gels at -40. We use it regularly in the -30s for all our off grid home appliances. He will be fine.
