Frontal Shot on Elk?

I wouldnt argue the lethality of the frontal shot. I've seen it used successfully first hand. The angle at which this shot was taken is what I'd argue against especially for a 13 yo kid. Yeah it worked this time but I think it was more luck than skill.

Looked to me that the kid had the ability to make the shot... I would have taken it too.

Pretty tough angle for a frontal shot, but it sure painted that log red.

I have had so many opportunities on a frontal shot like this and have passed on everyone.

All I got to say is I know my shooting ability and I am not passing anymore after seeing that video

As long as my nerves were with me i'd take it in the now or never scenario. but if i think i can get a broadside shot, or a 1/4ing away. i'll take it instead.
