Opening weekend of rifle here in Texas. I took this 9-point, solid buck for the Texas Hill Country. Put the smack down on that pig as well. First two kills for the 308 TL3 custom.

Not a “stand”, but in theory there were supposed to be whitetails here. No critters were harmed, or even bothered really, during this somewhat long hike. Guess someone’s gotta guard the forest.

I'm just getting back into hunting. I hunted a hand full of times when I was younger, but not since 2011 or so. I was never successful. A generous coworker took me to the property he hunts recently for the first time. I ended up seeing seven deer and took my first deer that morning. To say I'm hooked is an understatement.

That was taken in SC. Probably chiggers and all kinds of stuff that sucks. I don’t touch it.

We had friends who when they first saw Spanish Moss they “picked” a bunch to take home with them. (For what? No clue.) They regretted it before the drive home was over.

Down here on central GA public land, 11/4. Had four young bucks at 20 yards right before this picture was taken. 15"/4 points on one side rules here, so they all walked!
