Frog lube and solvent?

I have heard lots of good things about this product. For those who have used it, does it live up to its claims? I have always used Hoppes #9.

Thought it was great at first but I find it gets nasty over time. Almost rancid.

Avoid at all costs. It will disintegrate and become worthless at high and low temps

Avoid - its like floor wax. Tried it on a .45.
Hated it.

I automatically smelled Hoppes when I read this.
