I have discovered the wonders of french toast bagels! I find plain bagels boring and most other bagels (multi-grain, onion, etc) not good. French toast bagels taste great though! I made some peanut butter, bacon, and bagel sandwiches with french toast bagels for my backpack archery trip this Sep. My question is: will the french toast bagels last as long/well as plain bagels? Similarly, if I get other bagels, like blueberry, will they last as long as plain too?
Thanks!

Good idea on the bagels. I'll have to give them a try. When I take chicken packets I prefer the everything bagels but these would be good with peanut butter.

If you vacuum pack each bagel they will last at least 10 days.

Lol- hornbachers grocery in West Fargo, ND. I'll try figure out a brand name for you guys.

I always take bagel/cream cheese/salami sandwiches. I freeze them a day or two before the trip and they are usually still partially frozen after the hike in and them I can stow them somewhere cool. I also vacuum seal them. I think helps them to stay really fresh.

The one's I found were at Hornbachers in West Fargo, ND. They have an online shopping option and likely could be ordered from there if you don't have them locally.

To find them, go to: http://www.hornbachers.com/online-shopping.html Click on "Start shopping" and type "French toast bagel" in the search window on the next page. The bagels I got were made by "1st National Company". They are reeeaaallly good!

Good luck this Fall!
