Hi all,
Will be somewhat near Boise soon hunting turkey and bears with my brother.
I am looking for commercial freezer space that rents out room in the event one of use get lucky. I would like to bring whatever meat we have down to store until our trip is complete, does anyone know of an option?
Thanks.

Custom Butcher and Smokehouse in Garden City. Last time I used a butcher for game, they were it. There are a few others around town but I haven't used any of them.

Custom sucked last time I used a butcher. High price, didn't do a good job, stressed out employees.

Might be a moot point if all he needs is the storage space. Hopefully that wouldn't stress them out too much lol.

The freezer space would be fine. I really didn't trust them at all or get a good feeling. I wouldn't take anything there to be processed in the future or recommend them at all.

It's like trying to find a good gunsmith these days

Thanks all for the comments. I am really just looking for space to store the meat if necessary. Most likely quartered already.

I agree. While I was not happy with how they processed my elk, all OP was asking about was freezer space. For that, they were actually pretty cheap last time I was there.

OP - You could also use Tackett's in Nampa. Just be sure to call ahead and let them know you are coming. I haven't used them, but I have heard they don't really like people to just show up unannounced.

Last I heard, Tackett's is not taking any new customers...only those who have used them in the past.

Might be worth checking though, they are second to none in cleanliness from what I've seen.

Wow. That would be very surprising. Game processors are getting harder and harder to find it seems.
