Been searching the internet for legit free raffles for hunting gear. I was able to find a few, but not certain how legit they are.

Does anyone have any recommendations on free hunting gear raffles?

I know there are non-free ones like RMEF and NRA, but are there any good free ones?

Thanks in advance.

pretty much every raffle needs to have a way to enter for free for various legal reasons, RMEF and NRA included. Usually you have to send in a post card or something like that. Read the fine print.

The raffle called the sportsman's sweepstakes or something like that ran by Mike Demming is legit, but has some down points.

I was a member for many years, it is $350 a year. They draw twice a month on the 1st and 15th. Every draw has a hunt, a gun and some other items. I have won the other items a couple of times. You can have more than one membership going. At one time I had 4 memberships going.

Hunting fool has draws for hunts. per hunt $. They call and try to sell you more raffles all the time.

WTA has draws for hunts. per hunt $

Grand Slam Ovis has draws for hunts. $360 a year. I think this is 12 drawings per year for a ton of really super hunts.

All of these are "legitimate".

The downside is that for the Deming one, a lot of the people that he bought hunts from also draw the hunts. He seemed to know every 7th or 8th person that drew a hunt by name as a customer.

The upside is that it is capped at 2500 total memberships. The basic math is that your draw odds are not 1 in 2500, they are probably 1-8000 or 1-9000 but that is 24 draws a year. So I still see the value. He usually gives away 5-8 prizes per draw. So you have around 120-150 chances a year to win something. Pretty cheap lottery tickets, at $2-3 a draw.

The downside is that members referred under the scheme of multi-level-marketing, get their name in the hat more. There is also a referral drawing for those that have referred someone in their MLM chain.

If you think about how many people are investing in preference points in Wyoming in things they can't physically draw like moose and sheep, it is a pretty good deal. He gives away several sheep hunts, Canadian hunts, New Zealand and Africa every year.
