Have any of you used the Frankford Arsenal Universal Seating Die? How did it work? Is there another one I should be looking at?

ETA: I would like to find one that will work with cases as big as 338 Lapua.

I have it, the adjustments are true according to my calipers, I don't know if there is something better.

I can measure mine, does it need to be .588+ inside?

I have a FA seater and it works great. If you're asking about bullet diameter sleeves, the full set has 9 fittings from .224 to .338.

If you're asking about the inside area of the die body, I'd guess that a .338 Lapua case would fit easily considering I'm seating 7WSM bullets into a .555-wide case body, which is barely less than a .338LM. Am confident to guess that a .338 LM case is less wide than a 7WSM where the body meets the base of the shoulder. Additionally, a 338LM case and bullet are longer, while you're only elevating the upper part of the case into the die cavity. Hope this makes sense! :)

Edit: Based on actually looking at the die, there's a lot of room around a 7WSM body, so you're GTG on fitting a 338LM case into the die body. [If that's your question.]

OP

There's better if you need to get under .002" run-out, but nothing "better enough" for my standards.

Heck, it's $65. You'll get your money out of it.

Given some time is this still working well? Hard to find a micrometer die for a 338 Federal so eyeing this.

I have one and it works well with all the different cartridges I've loaded with it. Runout is good and for the money don't think there is a better option in that price range.

Just started reloading with one and only around 100 rds in. Seems good thus far. Hard to beat for the price. Easy loading and has been consistent in seating depths. One word of advice would be to make sure that your bullet has dropped all of the way when you place it in the window.
