So... A job requirement is wearing Fire Resistant clothing. Usually running a fuel truck. The company provides us with high viz Viking rain pants and jackets. Which ain't horrible for the odd sprinkle, light rain, as long as you can keep moving. Any serious rain, and you might get 15-20 minutes, a down pour and it is soaked through in five.
Never tested the FR part yet, but the rain proof is just slightly better than cotton at best, piss poor on average.
Keep the Grundens close for when the down pours hit.
Looking for some FR rain gear that actually stops the rain from getting through a bit. Thinking there ought to be some goretex type stuff out there that actually works.. Living on an Island in SE Alaska, just don't have much exposure to a specialty item like that, thought I would see if anybody had any experience or suggestions in regard to the fire resistant rain gear?
