Fossil Finds?

Not a fossil but found this chunk of elk shed on a river bed in southern MN. Any way to have it aged? Also found a possible bison skull I need to clean up.

First on left is red horn coral. It's a fossil. The three on the right are moqi balls. They're not fossils but soft sandstone encased in harder sandstone that is iron rich. Remnants of an ancient sea... I think.

Next is septarian nodules. Not a fossil but ancient sea bed remnant. Very rare locations to find them. Formed from sea sediment being rolled back and forth in the waves and building up a layer of stuff on the outside. Then over millions of years it hardens and creates the crystals inside. It's kind of like a fossil.

Found this last Thursday on the way up to one of my high camps at about 8500' on the Western slope. Daughter is on a dinosaur kick right now, so I considered it an especially lucky one to find.

Fish tail I think?

I find a lot of petrified wood. Here’s a piece of jasperized wood that I polished and a piece of petrified wood that I cabbed (brown one on the right). Got into rockhounding pretty serious in the past two years. Bought a diamond saw and a full set of diamond wheels.

What specific tools?

Found some cool shell fossils in Wyoming a few years ago. Packed a few to bring back to camp, shot a deer on the way and they ended up back on the ground.

Someday I’ll go back and grab them.

While on a Hog hunt outside of Snyder Tx, I found this piece of petrified wood and the other piece seems like a fossilized hip or socket joint of some sort. Reddish because of the red dirt in the area. One of these days I will have someone take a look at it for me.
