Td I've been talking to him for a while now lol. We touched base when we both found out we drew the tags. He is helping me a ton right now.

Heading back to the bean field from this morning. It's hot as hell but ain't going to drop one sitting on my ass.

Alright SW wind tonight so I'm set up in a different spot.

Just heard a loud as branch break in the field to my north.

What do you guys think of this bull? Maybe not as big as I dreamed of but he was pretty damn cool.

Pic was sent to me by the guy Tdhanses is talking about. He got his a few weeks ago with his bow. He's still got a tail camera out and my blind is set up right there.

This morning im following the advice of another forum member. Set up in a draw they use to get back to there bedding area that I can't access. Im at the edge now, never been in this spot so I have to wait for some light to find a shooting lane that I can see.

I remember those bastages walking through the timber so I could hear them but never see them. I wouldn't hesitate to get in the timber, get tight.

Good luck seen some mounts and photos of some really nice bulls out of there. Neat country we fish on milford a lot and man that base and surrounding area is 24/7 like an invasion. It’s pretty awesome at times the amount of choppers in the air and amount of tank rounds going off. It would be crazy to hunt bugling bulls with that much freedom going on so close.

Back in the blind on the bean field tonight. Truck said 90 degrees but we have a good wind for this field tonight. Should be a fun night.

It's a no go tonight but we live to fight another day.

No bugles or nothing. Had other hunters in the field. A dad and what was probably his five year old son didn't help me but I ain't made. Looked like he was walking him around teaching him scouting. Kept seeing then stop and point to the ground talking.

Wasn't a complete bust this morning.

I feel like I'm getting the landscape figured out a little more each day. Found a glassing point yesterday that gave me a great vantage point where I have a decent chance of seeing them moving from the feed fields to their beds. It's the first place I've found that will allow you to be mobile and set up on there path.

Well I set up there this morning and caught a bull, two cows and three calves heading into a drainage south of me. Only problem was they were spooked and never stopped running. Later found there was a hunter in the feed field and im guessing he spooked him.

Here's the plan tonight.

The road running north and south is the boundary of the no access area to the west. The red circle drainage is where they were bugeling there ass off. Im going to set up around the purple dot depending on wind and shooting lanes just to see what walks by.

I like this set up a lot better than the other draw. Winds swirling in here but it's go time. Feeling good about tonight.

Wash, rinse, repeat guys.

Met up with a gentlemen this morning willing to show me around an area that just opened up. This bull was shot at the spot I wanted to get ten minutes before I got there.

NOT MY BULL.

But they said they could hear the bulls fighting in the dark. Than they found this guy by himself and he's rack is all busted up. Im thinking the herd bull is still there.
