For those of you that have served in the military, what careers are y’all in now? Trying to get a sense of direction. Thanks!

Hobby jobs. My spouse and I switched rolls when I retired and she's now the major bread winner and is very supportive of my many part time things.

Sorry, not much help.

Much appreciated! My wife and I will most likely make the same switch. She has big career goals and I have a long list of things I want to do, but none very lucrative.

I gave my wife my 911 GI bill, which got her a doctorate and zero school debt. One of the best decisions I've made.

I’m in occupational therapy. It pays the bills and it’s relatively low stress compared to the military, but nothing like what I did (was a machine gunner in the Marine Corps) and I miss that type of work. I also do firearms instruction with a pretty impressive company in the DMV area (Six Eight Training Group) that keeps me involved in the shooting world and I’ve actually become a way better shooter than I was in the military. I did get a BS in environmental science just because so I didn’t have to deal with people shoving it in my face if I didn’t have a bachelors. Fortunately that hasn’t been the case. Still, I’m only 28, and I am not set on a career yet, but in the meantime with little kids and a growing family, I need financial security.

I also live on a farm which keeps me bused than when I lived in the suburbs.

I was infantry for nearly a decade. Changed direction after the military and I’m now a financial controller of a multi-national corporation.

In construction now, work for myself. Joined the guard after a break in service, tricare is sure nice over private health insurance having a family. Also guide hunts in the fall part time

Trophy husband and fireman now haha not sure what you did in the military, I was an 11A, started towards mid level corporate management/ federal LEO thank God I had some friends push me towards the fire service, best job I have ever had by far!
