Forloh BTM Pant review posted ---> now traveling pants to try

I'm about to jump on the 50% off deal too, but wanted to ask you guys with field experience: would you wear these even with a wet forecast? I'm in WA, but mostly on the eastside. Still plenty of rain, though. I've put off a a pair of true rain pants for ages, and am kinda thinking I can keep staving that off with keeping the BTM pants waxed (I know the poly part isn't waterproof.) Good idea? Or bad idea, and get the AllClima 3L pants instead? I'm just a fan of jack of all trade things.
Should have pinged me as a fellow Washingtonian who hunts both sides of the crest and has posted BTM comments prior.

I haven't worn rain paints in a few years, and the BTM, when waxed, are the best I've tried to date for keeping precip off the knees and thighs. Combined with a tall gaiter, you will never need a rain pant again when hunting and able to return to a warm shelter or basecamp.

As for pocket intrusion, haven't had any issues on my end busting ass through 6' tall grass, blackberry, fern, etc. on the west side, or just wandering the steppe on the east side. You either have giant legs that force the pockets more open than closed, or aren't buttoning them, I'd guess.

Nothing will keep you dry in a non-stop 2-day PNW atmospheric river besides rubber, or staying wet, heavy, and warm, in wool.

Sorry for the crotch shot boys. See below. You can see how the pockets end up open and catch debris

Crotch shots, lol. Never thought we'd resort to it.

I got curious and pulled mine on. They dont seem to be as "flappy" as yours at the opening. Slightly ajar, but doesn't seem excessive. I'll pay more attention next time I'm in thick tall brush. No noticeable seed collection yet. Gonna vary from person to person I'm sure.
