Technically, it's theft. No different that pirating movies or music. These guys spend a lot of time developing these programs and apps and if everyone just comes on the computer and makes it public, we will lose the resource all together.

Full disclosure: I've requested someone run the #'s for me before...within the last couple weeks.
Now as far as what squeekieslayer said...seems a little extreme! Running the numbers for someone is more akin to letting them LISTEN to a song on your record. They don't have "access" to it and they can't "listen" to it whenever they want...pretty sure letting someone listen to a song is not a crime under normal circumstances. And most software licenses limit the # of installs/devices and distinguish between commercial vs. personal use, none of which would be being violated in the vast majority of "run the numbers for me" cases unless their software license agreement has some extremely restrictive language in it.
That being said, $12 is a deal and I'll most likely buy the subscription. And the truth is probably that a large # of their sales come from people like me who had someone run the #'s for them once and decided they wanted to "own" it so that they could "access" it at will...it's like a free sample! And no, that's not just me trying to JUSTIFY my actions.
