Too many times there are posts here asking for someone to "run some numbers". For those who don't have any software you need to go to the following link and sign up for a membership. Learn to use the software and you'll be more self sufficient and learn more about your own set up. Membership is only $12 a year and it can be accessed from any computer and all of your profiles will be saved. So for the price of a couple of cups of coffee at Starbucks you can give yourself access to all the "numbers" you want.

Technically, it's theft. No different that pirating movies or music. These guys spend a lot of time developing these programs and apps and if everyone just comes on the computer and makes it public, we will lose the resource all together.

Roksliders would be the last demographic I would expect to be buying coffee at Starbuck's.

Squeekie I'm not sure what you're referring to as theft as that link is from the software manufacturer and requires a subscription to use it.

Perry, the owner of archersadvantage made this subscription available online so that all of the users would not have to constantly download the upgrades. He has gone almost entirely online rather than purchasing the program. It also allows his users to access from mobile devices as well. Sorry squeekieslayer this one is not theft.

My point is that the guys that are too cheap to buy archers advantage or TAP or a similar program are stealing. By asking someone you don't even know to "run your numbers" is essentially using someone's intellectual property without paying for the license to use it. I am not saying using the link to BUY your own subscription is stealing... I am no that out of touch.

OK so I have been using ot2 for while now but for fun I paid the $12 to try archersadvantage, and wow totally different end result. Ot2 has my arrow dailed on the new it says way weak.

Am I doing something totally off???

That's laughable and quite a stretch.

How? If you made a living selling an app and only 1 person bpught it then let everyone use his for free... would you make any money? NO. If you don't make money, you can't afford to keep producing updates and better products... Thus your program fails. It makes perfect sense.

Really? So if my neighbor comes over to borrow a wrench, who was stolen from? Me or Snap on? Who was the theif? Me or My neighbor? Makes no sense to me as I own the tool and can allow whomever to us it I see fit.

Not at all. The very fact that people are asking for information derived from the IP indicates it has value. The people who want that value for free are in essence stealing. It is a very simple concept.

I guess you really don't know what stealing is then. It really is a very simple concept. Please refer to post #13 and answer and enlighten me.

Everyone has differing ethical guidelines... To get back to the point, 13 bucks for this program is great. Sure you can get someone to do it, but it sure teaches you a lot as you play with numbers and see what happens. Great value
