Foggy binos

Last hunting season, and yesterday as well tromping around in the woods I had my binos get all fogged up on the outside of the lens. I am using the caps for the lenses, but here in the PNW it is just constantly wet and they get wet inside the caps, and then fog up. Is my solution to get a real bino harness? Better binoculars? My brother doing the same thing with swaros and an Alaska guide creation harness had no trouble, but that's outside my price range. Let me know what you've done to solve this one. Thanks for your help.

I have and use an AGC KISS model and Bino bro hunter harnesses, I like them both and have no fogging problems. I bet you could find a bino bro for around $30 for a base model. Here are some for sale

I have found that if it is cool and damp, or wet and cold, my binos can fog up when raising them up to my eyes IF I happen to exhale when they are close to my mouth or nose. Doesn't matter too much on the brand, I think most of them will do it. I have the Swaro EL Range and they do it. My previous pair of Zeiss did it also.
Also, if you bring them from a warm area (tent or truck) out into the cold, they can fog up too. Lens covers can help until the glass adjusts to the temperature, but if you breathe on them, they will fog up.

I've definitely had that. I think that having wet lens covers on them never lets them dry out either though.

True, I have found that they always fog up at the worst times. In haste (or panic) I wipe them with my finger to clear them, because time is running out, and I need to look quickly. I guess I should carry some lens tissues, but they would never be where I need them when I need them.

when you are in the rain or fog, and especially when an optic is kept close to your body, you're gonna get fog on the outside of ANY lens - anti fog wipes will sometimes help, also there are sprays and wipe on solutions that claim to help - I've lived here in the PNW all of my life and it's just "the way it is" .... I've had a little "spit" wiped on a lens help too - Here's a tip: BE CAREFUL WHEN WIPING ANYTHING ON AN OPTIC LENS-SOMETIMES THE OUTER COATINGS ARE NOT AS GOOD ON SOME AND ALL ARE "FAIRLY" FRAGILE TO SOME DEGREE OR ANOTHER - Use optic cloths to HELP insure there will be no scratching but NOTHING is 100% SAFE is what I've found - optics are not "tools", they are "instruments" IME

I keep my binos cold. I won't keep them in the tent or camper with me. It helps, but you still can't breath on them.
