FNG TX hunting New Mexico

What up everyone? Im new on the forum but not new to hunting New Mexico. However Me and my daughter will be hunting in a new unit at the end of Nov. I bought my daughter a youth cow tag for 16D because she wasnt successful in the draw. Any info on this unit will be greatly appreciated.

Nice! There's a mess of em in there. Got my first ever elk there a few years ago.

Yeah, he was a 270-280 ish 6x6 I got in the northern part of 16D.

I think I'm probably going to start putting cow tags as 3rd choice for that reason. Still wanting to get an archery bull pretty bad, especially in a couple specific units.

Yeh bull tags a damn near once in a lifetime in 16d lol there are a few units near by that you might be able to draw a bull in. I’m gonna try for a bull tag in one of the units near 16D this year. I’m gonna try for all weapon options lol.
