Been in the Pagosa Springs area about two years and northern NM before that. Hunted mostly flatlands in Nebraska and TX prior (waterfowl, upland, whitetail, mule deer, etc). Elk and turkey in the mountains are pretty new to me, but I'm slowly learning.

I've been lurking for awhile but figured I should start contributing sooner than later. If you're pumping for honeyholes about OTC hunts around here, I'm afraid I won't be much help. But anything with other local intel or gear I can share in a pinch, I'm happy to do so. I'm also working on blood tracking with my Draht for this coming season and hope I'll be able to help a few local friends here with recovery this fall if needed.

Welcome to the forum. Pagosa vicinity and a Draht, that's a win-win. Missing hot springs since the pandemic:(

Thanks! Bird hunting is a bit harder to find around here though, that's the only downside. It's hard to have everything ha.

The hippy dip is still accessible, but it's been pretty busy every time I've driven by :(

Welcome to the forum from another CO resident. I’m up in Westminster but I love Pagosa and have spent some time there
