FNG from NW Oregon

Hey guys - another longtime lurker here from NW Oregon. I've spearfished up and down the west coast for the last decade and a half, but only started hunting during the covid lockdowns. This site has been a huge resource as I've started to get a handle on birds and big game. Hoping to be more active this year, both here and in the field.

I'm always looking for new dive buddies and would happily trade spearfishing knowledge/mentorship for hunting tips.

Where in NW Oregon are you located?

Most recently Portland. I do most of my deer and elk hunting on the northwest coast, turkeys in the Cascades, and upland and waterfowl between Hood River and Boardman. I'm starting to feel more confident with the birds, but so far my only big game success has been a wild pig. I think I was as surprised to see it in Oregon as it was to see me.
