I’ve had an incredibly difficult time getting excited about anything this year. Chalk it up to depression or a mid life crisis. I dunno? I’ve had a difficult time turning the engine over so to speak.

But a small victory in life is knowing this big fella lives about ten miles from my house. I like knowing he’s out there kicking ass, exploring the same woods I do.

Is he a shooter or do we let him pack on a few more years of acorns and grease?
