38 years of putting in for the WMWR bull elk hunt we finally hit it. Thanks to WMWR staff for their hard work and a big thanks to my son, my buddy and his packing team for helping me pack him out over a mile and a quarter in this tough terrain. Back from our elk hunt and my oldest son harvested an elk. We saw plenty, just couldn’t sneak up on them. We did climb a mountain twice! And planning a trip next year. Highlight of the trip was spending time with both my buddy and my boy. My wife and I have raised a couple of fine young men who know the art of survival!
