Thanks for the welcome... this such a great place to find knowledge and experience.

Downside is it makes you think to much, thinking to much cost a lot of money.

Welcome. I got here 10 yrs ago. It all comes down to time. Stay in the woods, know they are there, know you are weak. 2x booners down, shot at another just about every year. The guys on TV either have money or endurance. Remi vs that pig guys you make the judgment. Effort out west gets it done. Make your own way. One tip, gear does go a long way. Time behind good glass is the best gap filled. Other things are camp hear. Know you will buy, sell, rebuy,rebuild, again. Getting into wstern hunting is hard to know what light gear is. Overall it all sucks, light means it breaks easy. Light also means you can carry more crap into the woods. Just know its all ment to make your time more comfortable, time means more critters hunted and killed. Know u can starve your self leading to more days. All this advice leads to one thing, practice, scout, buy expensive gear so u can spend lots of days in the woods. All this behind you times (x) leads to more critters killed. These days I kill more then most but think of hunts more as hikes, vs Hunts.
