Not very accurate? Fluting doesn't have an effect on accuracy. What are pros and cons of these guns with fluted barrels , My thoughts would be not very
Accurate??
Who died and made you the forum police? This should be in the firearms forum
Makes ZERO difference. My concern would be hunting around the 20 degree and lower temp , as you heat up the barrel when shooting and then it cools repeating over time

This is right nothing wrong with it, but it wasn’t the advantage it was thought to be at one timeLooks. For a long time the argument for them was a barrel could be lighter and yet just as stiff as the full diameter before fluting. That’s turned out to not be the case - the shooting sports requiring the most accuracy don’t flute heavy barrels, but just use a slimmer profile to make a weight limit.
Theres nothing wrong with fluting - there’s just not an accuracy advantage.
That elk rack in your photo is really interesting - great length and mass to the points that are there! What’s his story? This is right nothing wrong with it, but it wasn’t the advantage it was thought to be at one time
