Flush cups for CTR stock

Hi All,
Was going to put Grov-tec flush cups in my factory CTR stock so I can side mount my sling. Though it seemed like a good idea to checking and see has anyone here already done that.

Using the hollow stock version in the butt looks straightforward.

But what about the foreend? Is it better to use the regular threaded version or is there enough room for the follow stock version again?

Thanks a million
Myles

It can be done. I can’t remember which cup was used but here’s some pics. Hope that helps. IMG_5550.jpeg

Thanks EO12

The photos are a real help.
Do you know is there a nut holding the cup in place or is it just threaded into the fore-end.

Btw how do you find the placement? Is the gun stable when youre carrying with the sling?

I think it’s just threaded in. It’s a little thicker as hit has the added forend on that stock. It felt fine with it the one time hunting with it with sling it front left rear right side but now all my tikkas are in chassis stocks.

I did a tikka stock. I used the grov tec ones for a hollow stock with a threaded nut on the inside. On the butt I removed the pad and managed to slide the nut inside between the foam and the plastic stock, so the cup could screw into it. On the foreend I actually tapped the FE itself and screwed and glued it in place. There was too much meat in the FE to use the nut there.
Yes, it was quite secure.

I use threaded flush cups. I've done it on tikka plastic, TC Encore plastic,Kimber hollow CF, and my Rokstocks. You just build up support behind the wall with a glob of 2 part epoxy, JB Weld works fine.

So,
-Drill hole in stock.
-Thread hole in stock
-Stuff hole wit 2 part epoxy
-Screw the flush cup in
-Let cure
