I’m going to get a furnace top to finally complete my clothing kit. I really can’t decide between the hoody and the quarter zip. My other base layers are all quarter zip, and I like them. But I keep thinking I’d like the hood and kangaroo pouch.

Any feedback from those who have tried both?

I am saddle hunting mostly, so static and not moving a ton.

Wind cuts right through it so I don’t know if you’d be able to use it as an outer layer with the kangaroo pocket. The collar is tight to have zip up collars underneath it

Hmm. That seems to point me to the quarter zip. I thought a hood may be useful, but if you can’t button it, then it wouldn’t be

I have the kiln quarter zip and always liked it but as a base layer. I have since switched to synthetics and blends. The peleton 200 zip t would be what I've replaced it with.
