Wondering if anyone has experience with these two pants. I have the Eddie Bauer and they're great but I'm wondering if theres any advantage to the First Lites. They're both a 4 way stretch Nylon/Spandex blend. Should I save my money and go with another pair of the EBs or are the FLs worth the extra cash? Thanks.

I have both and for the price the EB are better right now on amazon EB's are $48 they both are pretty good pants

I've got two pairs of Corrugates and I just bought my first pair of Eddie Bauer pants this weekend. I really like the EBs but I feel like the FLs are better in a few key areas. First, the weave of the material on the Corrugates feels thicker to me, which will probably help with abrasion and tear resistance. Second, I'm one of the few people who seem to really like the cut of the Corrugates. I like that they're looser in the thighs but fit tight over my boots. The EBs are tighter in the thigh and the bottoms feel like bellbottoms (they're not, it's just a looser straight fit). Third, I much prefer the pockets on the Corrugates. They have zippers on the back and two pockets on each thigh (one zippered, one not zippered) and the angle of the pockets is slanted on the EBs, which feels odd to me.

To me, the Corrugates are worth the extra money, but they're probably overkill since all of my hunting this year will be day hunts. If I didn't already own a pair of Corrugates, I'd probably be totally happy with my EBs and just buy more pairs of them. Overall, I'll be using my EBs for hiking, camping, and playing in the snow with my kid and save the wear and tear on my Corrugates for scouting and hunting.

I just received another 2 pair of the EB pants today. I wouldn’t pay extra for the Corrugates, they really offer nothing over the EB.
The EB are right up there a close 2nd to my favourite pants the OR Ferrosi pants.

I have both as well, corrugates are stretchy and thicker. I dont like how narrow they are from the knee down, they hardly fit over my boots their so skinny. Other than that they are great pants. I also really like the EB too, they fit a bit better for me. Since i bought a pair of the newer sitka ascent pants those ones just live in the closet now though.

Thanks guys, I think I'll stick with the EBs and spend my money on something else from FL. Maybe the Cirrus Puffy or Kiln Hoody.

That’s what I did. Sold a brand new pair of Obsidians, bought two pairs of EB horizon guides and a fleece and still had coin in my pocket.

Just keep an eye on the cargo pocket stiching on the guide pants. I have a couple old sets that held up perfect, but on the new ones, my friend and I both have had the stiching start to come undone on the bottom after just a couple uses, essentially creating a hole. Good thing they have a great warranty, but they might be losing some of the durability they once had

I have 2 pairs of corrugates in dry earth, and plan to pick up a pair in camo. They are by far my favorite pants I own currently.

How is the sizing on the Obsidians? Do they run big or just right? Also, how well do they breathe and dump heat?
