I figure wolf hunting is win/win with more time in the mountains for me and hopefully one less wolf for the elk...but I've never been. I'll be day hunting timber with a few parks/cuts that are really hard to glass. I heard lots of wolves during September, mostly up high but saw single sets of tracks in the bottoms of the draws leading to the higher areas. I'm guessing snow will be pretty deep and weather pretty cold. I was just going to take a predator call and see what happens, but thought maybe there might be a better way to get the job done. Are howling or sitting tree stand style better methods? Thanks for any guidance/help!
