New reloader here and I think I am beginning to see my first pressure signs. These are Peterson brass, H1000 and Berger 156 EOL out of a 21" barrel and a COAL of 3.0. The loads are left to right 54.5, 55.0, 55.5, 56.0, 56.5 and 57.0. It looks like ejector marks on the 57 grain loads are just beginning to show up. The average speed at 56.5 is 2770 FPS with an ES of 7. I think I will call it good right there at the 56.5 and maybe play with a few grains either way. Does anyone see anything different with the fired brass and with marks this minor at 57 would you call that pressure signs?

Peterson brass is tougher than a $2 steak. If you're getting an ejector mark then its hot. Load #2 is the best load you have shown, even if it's a little slower. Load #5 will have shorter brass life. It's up to you and where you place your priorities.

Best indicator is to measure at the .200 line with a caliper. .001 more than factory in that barrel is too much.
